Nicole Martinelli,  is originally from the Chicago land area of the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She now lives in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area where she finds inspiration in the surrounding mountains and rural areas for her latest captures and creations . She is captivated by nature's Beauty and the comfort it provides us all. The artist, Photographer Nicole Martinelli was originally an oil painter whom would only use photography strictly for reference material, but after physical illness made it difficult for her to paint the artist found comfort within nature and expressing herself artistically through photography Instead of her brush expressing love for scenic landscapes; she allowed for her lens to fully capture and crate her artistic  passion and vision

The Artist, and Photographer Nicole Martinelli , originally a painter captures scenes that resemble that of a painting, being originally a painter The Artist takes great pride in being able to visually view the world as if it were a painting . It is this very essence that fuels her passion and compels her to capture each scene through her lens.Her fiancé, who grew up with a father who was a photographer that had a darkroom in their home, was the first to recognize her talent when he viewed her photography during a period of illness that left her unable to paint. He encouraged her to dive further into photography. Through extensive explorations of parks, hiking trails, and concealed beauty off the beaten path waiting to be discovered beyond the usual routes., this is where she found her inspiration. In the first exhibitions she applied to, she won third place for "Sunflower Fields" recieving third place and Second place award in 2022 , for "Into the Fields (Over the Hills Far Away) Embraced by Blue Skies in the All Landscapes international exhibition. The Artist Recieved an honorable mention award in an international juried exhibition by a prominent international gallery based in Geneva, Switzerland for,'' Roots within This soil. ''

When the artist, and photographer made her initial return to the art world, her primary focus was solely on photography. Originally a traditional impressionist painter, she was hesitant to diverge from her tradtional medium,oil painting.

 Her fiancé, who grew up with a father who was a photographer that had a darkroom in their home, was the first to recognize her talent when he viewed her photography during a period of illness that left her unable to paint encouraged her to dive further into photography. Upon being swiftly accepted and securing three awards for her photography, she promptly recognized that her talent was one she needed to share with the world.

The Artist, photgrapher rarely employs other alternative processes in her photographs; apart from color enhancements,

Only two of her works, most notably "Vertical Horizons," , and her Award Winning,'' Roots within this soil'',  an original photograph, Photographed near Erie PA and the bottom color block portion was painted in with her stylus—a first of its kind; have ventured into this form of territory,

 Nicole Martinelli, originally a traditional artist, and perceives photography as a more conventional art form. The artist and photographer favors employing  alternative techniques  and rather dive deeper into bolder creative avenues through her  E paintings.

The artist and photographer is celebrated for her distinctive artistic vision. Showcasing her extraordinarily  unique  talent to perceive the world around her as if it were a canvas

This unique ability stems from her early commitment to oil painting,

Nicole’s photographs are taken on location and found through exhaustive searches of parks, hiking trails, and anywhere off the beaten path Nicole uses photo editing software to strickly enhance color, contrast, and increased saturation. The Artist choice of color is a vital aspect in the artist entire body of work ,she feels colors further express emotions rather then simply the capture or subject matter. The color enhancements intensify the feelings in her subject matter and scenery;  as a form of artistic expression creating a dream-like aspect and sensation within reality.

The artist and photographer has a unique artistic perspective and  remarkable talent and ability to view the world around her as if it were a painting and a work of art ,which is reflected in her captures. This is a skill naturally acquired through her early dedication to oil  painting where she would utilize her photographs as reference material for her paintings.  The Color enhancements, high contrast and  vivid color palette frequently create a striking resemblance of her photographs to  landscape painting using saturation and contrast to create a full sensation and feeling of gazing and viewing a painting .

The Artist's perspective as originally being a painter and an artist—rather than merely simply a photographer, allows her to view natural landscapes through a distinct artistic perspective, This Unique artistic vision sets her apart from other photographers who do not possess a background in art and painting.

'' As both an artist and a photographer, I must be compelled by the beauty or the subject matter to determine if the image and scenery should be captured and shared with the world. It is when the image or subject stirs an emotion within me that I feel compelled to capture the image—whether it be a feeling, a distant memory or the echoes of a loved Impressionist scene of a favored impressionist painting. There must always be a profound inner connection with my subject matter.

The emotions that resonate deeply within me and the feelings I encounter while capturing the subject matter are just as important as the beauty of the scenery I choose to photograph. Nature has always captivated me with its natural beauty and the solace and peace it has always offered me. As an artist and photographer, I feel it is my obligation to capture the beauty and serenity, as well as the essence of the therapeutic and healing power of nature.''
