Biography I Artist Statement
Nicole Martinelli is an artist and photographer originally from the Chicago land area of the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She now lives and resides in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, where she finds inspiration in the surrounding mountains and rural areas for her latest captures and creations. Nicole is captivated by nature's Beauty and the comfort it provides us all. The artist and Photographer Nicole Martinelli was originally an oil painter whom prior would use photography strictly for reference material purposes, but after physical illness made it difficult for her to paint, the artist found comfort and solace within nature and expressing herself artistically through photography. Instead of her brush expressing her love for beautiful scenic landscapes, she allowed her lens to create her artistic passion. Nicole was introduced to painting and developed her love for art at an early age through her grandmother whom was an artist .She attended classes at a local gallery Mcord gallery Palos Park and was mentored under the direction of a Chicago art institute graduate on and off from an early age into her early twenties. Nicole was originally heavily influenced by the impressionism era of Van Gogh and Monet and started having success locally throughout the Chicago land area with her oil paintings that reflected her deep love for the impressionism era. The Artist Nicole Martinelli was accepted and presented her first solo exhibition at Madame Zuzus, owned by talented song writer, singer and musician Billy Corgan . Unfortunately soon after the Artists new found success serious health issues forced the Artist to resign from her art and instead focus on regaining her health. Upon regaining her health The Artist submitted her new found passion, photography, on a whim, to juried art exhibitions and having it accepted and awarded in an international exhibition based in Geneva Switzerland she quickly realized her photography was also a talent and gift that must be shared with the world!
The artist's photography and E-paintings have earned her recognition nationally and internationally, along with numerous awards. Artist and Photographer Nicole Martinelli
Artist Statement
As both an artist and a photographer, I must be compelled to by the beauty or the subject matter to determine if the image and vision will be created or should be captured and shared with the world. It is when the image or subject stirs an emotion within me that I feel compelled to create the inspiration or capture the image.- whether it be a feeling, a distant memory, a life experience or an inspiration that resonates with me and is able to transport my mind and creativity into a dreamlike state. The emotions I experience from deep within myself, and the sentiments felt while either creating or capturing the subject or scenery, play an equally significant role as the creation or image itself. Nature has always captivated me with its natural beauty and the solace it offers. As an artist and photographer, it is my duty to both capture and create beauty. My artworks prompt us to value nature, our environment, and to conserve, cherish and utilize our natural resources as nature naturally intended.
As a Photographer, I capture and present nature's beauty and emotions, providing viewers with a timeless escape into the moment of time of my capture to stay within that moment for as long as they wish! Both as an artist and as a photographer I feel it is my obligation to capture and create beauty and present these images through both my photographs and artworks to allow the world to be able to view and appreciate the world through my eyes. As a Photographer, I am simply implementing, encapsulating and presenting you the beautiful imagery nature provides us all. Capturing the feelings and beauty that resonates within my own presence, in that particular moment of time that are embodied in each of my Photographs , Allowing for the viewers the opportunity to stay within that moment, where time is of no existence, May you stay as long as you wish! -Nicole Martinelli.
''As an E-painter I am essentially incorporating my previous painting skills as an oil painter with my technical knowledge acquired from Digital Photography. I create my E-Paintings organically from my mind while using my stylus as my brush and, my touch screen laptop as if it were my Canvas.
As an artist I believe in advancing with the current times and using this technology to my advantage. I do not believe however in being used by the technology. Having a hands on approach every step of the creative process is essential to myself as an artist. I see technology and this new artistic medium as a new exciting creative opportunity. There is a freeing feeling while exploring this new artistic avenue.
"If my work can inspire, raise awareness, provoke thought, evoke emotions, and offer solace, joy, and tranquility to others—just as I have discovered within myself through the process of creating my art and capturing photography, driven by my heart and artistic passions—then I have fulfilled my artistic goal." - Artist, Photographer Nicole Martinelli.." -
During the storms we are resented with through out our lives and these ever changing times we as a society are living in One thing that never changes is the solitude and beauty of nature that surrounds us all! I have always been captivated by the beauty nature naturally offers us all Nature never falters and is always there for you! ,"There is always an ocean or a stream to catch your tears and a sunset to brighten our lives."- Nicole Martinelli
'If I can inspire, awaken, make the viewer think, bring solace, peace, and happiness to others as I have found myself while capturing and creating, then I have achieved my artistic goal."- Artist, Photographer Nicole Martinelli

The Artist's Inspiration behind, ''Requiem Of Flowers''
'' This particular artwork embodies the death of one's former self and the acceptance of our darkest life experiences. It highlights the light and the beauty that is found within our struggles of our darkest moments and the profound gratitude developed for life. It emphasizes the importance of allowing things to unfold naturally, embracing life's beauty in our darkest life moments and challenges. All while remembering to remain patient awaiting the next stage of your life, by applying the gained wisdom from the experiences we have lived and evolving into your ''new existence'' Your better self while connecting with one's higher self.'' -Artist, Photographer Nicole Martinelli

Nature's colors collide in full spectrum inspiration and message is appreciating the beauty and vibrancy that nature offers to our lives. I managed to capture these emotions and the essence of nature's vibrant colors and beautiful collision that form "Nature's Colors Collide: Full Spectrum" with its vivid hues, enables us to intimately witness the vibrant life of the flower and the blossoming colors that nature unveils."Nature's Colors Collide: Full Spectrum" encapsulates and offers my viewers a look at the inspiring natural wonders and beauty nature offers us that bring vibrance and beauty to our world.
As a Photographer, I am simply implementing, encapsulating and presenting you the beautiful imagery nature provides us all. Capturing the feelings and beauty that resonates within my own presence, in that particular moment of time that are embodied in each of my Photographs, Allowing for the viewers the opportunity to stay within that moment, where time is of no existence, May you stay as long as you wish! -Nicole Martinelli.'
