Weaving Dreams, Living Time
The province of Lecce (Italian: provincia di Lecce; Salentino: provincia te Lècce) is a province in the Apulia region of Italy. It's capital is the city of Lecce. The province is called the "Heel of Italy". Located on the Salento peninsula, It is on the Salentine Peninsula, at the heel of the Italian Peninsula, and is over two thousand years old.
Lecce is celebrated for its distinctive "Lecce stone," a unique type of limestone that graces its stunning buildings, architecture, and sculptures.
Lecce, often referred to as the ''Florence of the South''
Lecce is The Puglia’s Salento region, is built in the local softlimestone with stunning architectural surprises around every corner.
Baroque architecture in Lecce is characterized by its exuberance and grandeur. The style is impressive and dramatic, designed to evoke a sense of awe and wonder. Buildings in Lecce feature extravagant details such as elaborate cornices, intricate columns, and ornate sculptures. The widespread use of local limestone, known as “pietra leccese,” adds to the distinctiveness of the city’s architectural style. It is through this medium that the architects and sculptors of Lecce created intricate carvings and decorations that define the Baroque aesthetic.
The city is a Baroque masterpiece, where every street and piazza tells a story. With its blend of historical richness, architectural beauty, and vibrant daily life!
The city is renowned for its rich architectural heritage, lively atmosphere, and delicious cuisine. The history of Lecce is evident in its beautiful buildings, narrow streets, and ancient ruins, making it a fascinating destination for those interested in history and culture.

The thirty-first edition of WOMEN’S ART POWER contemporary art exhibition entitled WEAVING DREAMS, LIVING TIME features nineteen female artists from twelve countries around the world, whose works translate into the thought of trans-forming and trans-figuring and unifies opposing concepts such as immobility and flow, matter and the ineffable in defining both boundaries and our very existence.
THE EXHIBITION AND THE ARTISTS
WOMEN’S ART POWER was born as a cultural dialogue between Italian and international artists and with WEAVING DREAMS. LIVING TIME the event is renewed in the name of discovery, enchantment and poetry, with a dreamlike journey between stages and passages, between stops and restarts. The word “Weaving” refers to the act of intertwining the threads of the weft with those of the warp on the loom and “Living time” unifies opposing concepts such as immobility and flow, matter and the ineffable in defining the boundaries of our existence.
Virginia Ryan, born in Australia and an Italian citizen since 1982. She has participated in numerous exhibitions, including the Macro in Rome, the Venice Biennale, the Pino Pascali Foundation in Polignano a Mare, the Dakar Biennale. In Ghana she co-founded the FCA Foundation of Contemporary Art. On display in Lecce with the installations “Forme di protezione” and the video “Sanctuary”, in which the protagonist and musician Oliver Ryan plays the drums/shields in the Balmoral forest in Australia, a place inhabited in ancient times by Aborigines. Virginia’s works narrate the time of the dream and masterfully blend elements of traditional and multicultural design with contemporary flair. Between memory and loss, between weaving and transforming, Ryan conveys messages of peace, protection and reconciliation with the earth.
In addition to her, twelve artists known for having collaborated with Primo Piano LivinGallery since the beginning and active at a national and international level. We remember the Americans Kohlene Hendrickson (godmother of the 2024 edition with her “12 faces of eros”), Christine Palamidessi known for her papier-mâché vestals from Lecce, Dena Haden, a well-known young Fiber Artist whose works have recently been exhibited at the National Center of Contemporary Art in Belarus, Sara McKenzie, known for her inlays between nanoscience and art and Pnina Granirer, a Canadian artist and writer with important retrospectives and permanent collections in Alberta. From the rest of the world, the French artist Sandra Detourbet, at her second performance in Lecce, the Luxembourg Margot Reding-Schroeder whose works are present in important collections and the Dutch Bikkel, who founded the BAM (Bikkel Art Museum) and whose works are in the collection of the Chang Kil-Hwan Museum in South Korea among others. Bosnian but Austrian by adoption, the artist Nena Lang Cirkovic, whose works have been exhibited at the Venice Biennale in the Musa Pavilion and at the XIV Florence Biennale among others, will be on display. From Turkey, the young artist and designer Deniz Sak, known for her participation in the YAP MAXXI in Rome and the Milan Triennale. Among the Italians, there are the works of Sonia Giavitto, a Roman artist known for her sculptures and alchemical portals, and finally Maria Luisa Imperiali, an artist known for her archetypal figures in pop settings and present here with an installation that requires interaction with the visitor.
Among the new entries, the works of the Swiss-Canadian artist Claudia Von Boch, known for her tapered sculptures exhibited internationally, the American artist Tama Takahashi, known for having exhibited among others at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum and actress in films such as “Blade Runner” and others. Among the young promises are the American artist Nicole Martinelli, known for her e-paintings exhibited at the San Diego Museum in California, the Chinese artist Angel Jiaqi Qin known for her techno performances at the Tate Modern in London, Kristina Trudorudo, a photographer of Russian origin and member of the Soho Photo Gallery in New York and finally the young Romanian artist Cristina

Requiem of Flowers and
Nostalgic Terrain Floral Daydream, tell a story, inviting my viewers to reflect on the parallels between the life cycle of a flower and our own journey of self-discovery, self-realization, and growth. -Artist, Photographer Nicole Martinelli
'' The connection between human growth and the metaphoric value represented by flowers in both artworks serves as a reminder of our own potential for growth, encouraging us to embrace change and healing while always remembering to water and nurture our inner selves so we can all bloom into our full potential.
Requiem of the Flowers, is a distinctive work that merges photography with painting. I created this piece using a touchscreen computer and painted manually with a stylus. This innovative technique allowed me the opportunity to create while battling illness. The artwork incorporates photographic elements alongside abstract painted features.
Nostalgic Terrain Floral Daydream, drew inspiration from an oil painting I was unable to finish due to health challenges. It was painted by using my stylus and touchscreen computer, utilizing a painting program that provides a spectrum of colors for shading and depth, as well as brushes of varying sizes for intricate detailing. The painting process and final outcome closely resemble traditional techniques, layered colors, details, and brushwork.'' -Artist, Photographer

She now resides in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area, where she finds inspiration in the surrounding mountains and rural areas for her latest artworks and photographs. Water carries deep significance for the world around us. I have always been an enthusiastic swimmer, cherishing the moments spent in the water at my grandparent's cottage in northern Wisconsin, Green Lake, and later as a member of the swim team. Water carries deep significance for me personally and Water is the quintessence of life, and holds a profound significance for me and for life itself. Through my lens, I am able to freeze in time the crashing waves against a backdrop of a breathtaking sunset - a moment that is typically only stored in our minds as a memory. Nature offers us the opportunity to stand still and bask in its warm embrace, providing a constant source of comfort and serenity.''- Artist Photographer Nicole Martinelli

Nicole Martinelli
is originally from the Chicago area in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Nicole was introduced to painting and developed her love for art at an early age through her grandmother, who was also an artist. She attended classes at a local gallery her grandmother was associated with and was mentored under the direction of a Chicago Art Institute graduate on and off from an early age into her early twenties. Nicole was originally heavily influenced by the Impressionism era of Van Gogh and Monet and started having success locally throughout the Chicago area with her first medium, oil painting. Her oil paintings reflected her deep love for the Impressionism era. The artist Nicole Martinelli was accepted and presented her first solo exhibition at
Madame Zuzu's, owned by
talented
songwriter, singer, and
musician Billy Corgan.
The Artist expresses her gratitude to the musician for recognizing her artistic talent long before she had faith in her own abilities, as well as to him and his wife, Chloe, for their support and all they contribute to both emerging artists, and musicians in the Chicago land area. Following this exciting honor and transformative event in the artist's life journey.
Unfortunately, soon afterwards, the artist's newfound success took a turn for the worse; due to serious health issues, forcing her to resign from her art and focus on regaining her health. While focusing on her health and unable to paint during this time period, her fiancé, who grew up with a father who was a photographer that had a darkroom in their home, was the first to recognize her talent when he viewed her photography during a period of illness that left her unable to paint. He encouraged her to dive further into photography. Through extensive explorations of parks, hiking trails, and concealed beauty off the beaten path waiting to be discovered beyond the usual routes, this is where she found her inspiration. The artist and photographer found a new love for photography. Upon regaining her health in 2022, taking her fiancé's advice, the artist happened to submit her newfound passion, photography, on a whim to juried art exhibitions. Her photography was immediately accepted and awarded in multiple national juried exhibitions.
The Artist and Photographer, Nicole Martinelli is celebrated for her distinctive artistic vision. Showcasing her extraordinarily unique talent to perceive the world around her as if it were a painting, this unique ability stems from her early commitment to oil painting. The artist and photographer has a distinctly artistic perspective, remarkable talent, and ability to view the world around her as if it were a painting and a work of art, which is reflected in her captures. This skill is naturally acquired through her early dedication to oil painting, where she utilized her photographs as reference material for her paintings. The color enhancements, high contrast, and vivid color palette frequently create a striking resemblance of her photographs to landscape paintings, using saturation and contrast to evoke the full sensation and feeling of gazing at and viewing a painting..
The artist's perspective, originally as a painter and artist—rather than merely a photographer—allows her to view natural landscapes through a distinct artistic lens. This unique artistic vision sets her apart from other photographers who do not possess a background in art and painting.

The Artist and photographer has gained both National and International success and received awards in multiple international exhibitions based in Geneva, Switzerland.

'' You have the power to transform your struggles, pain ,and the storms in your life into something beautiful and the ability channel your negative emotions from these difficult life experiences into a more positive outlet.My healing journey began through my deeper connection to nature and art I decided to finally have the courage to believe in myself and to pursue my dreams rather then allowing my difficult life experiences to break me . I learned to take the emotions from my painful difficult life experiences and channeled it into something positive. My two loves that have always brought me solace and inner peace Nature and my art. If you're not happy with your current life's story's outcome, learn to take the pain and the dirt of yesterdays sorrows from these difficult life experiences and view them as an opportunity to grow from these difficult life experiences and use the knowledge gained from the experiences to propel and transform your life into something more positive fulfilling ,and beautiful! Allow these difficult life experiences to empower you, rather than defeat you Believe in yourself, because you are worth it, No one else will believe in you until you do. If you're unhappy with your current life situation or circumstances remember that you always hold the power to write and paint in a new chapter, one that fills you with joy, gratitude, peace and happiness!

Illinois happens to be the state where the Artist originally grew up and was raised.
Illinois is where the Artist Nicole Martinelli began her artistic passion and her formative early years of her artistic career.
The gallery is located within the Chicago land area in the suburbs of Illinois.
''Water world'' National exhibition includes Interpretations descriptions, and views of life on, in, around, above or under water.
The Images range from realistic visions of secluded lake shores, powerful waterfalls, and crashing ocean waves, to peaceful pools and forest streams, and abstracted patterns of currents and reflections on water’s surfaces. While photographs play a big part in the exhibit, there are also oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, pastels, mixed media compositions, glass sculpture and mosaics, and a large wall installations.
